About
Richard Escobedo is a prolific blogger, and an avid football fan.
Professional
Richard Escobedo has always had a strong entrepreneurial mind set, all starting at the age of seven. Now fourteen, he continues to strengthen one of his most valuable traits, and has successfully help start a podcast startup geared towards teens. Richard has always had the drive and ambition to be successful, and while he has become discouraged at times, he knows he must persevere. He is a self-proclaimed "Twitterholic," (hopefully his Twitter stats reflect that), as well as a blogging addict. Richard has been on the Apple Universe Podcast, and even offered a job at CNET. Richard was also accepted to Communications Arts High School, the twenty-sixth best high school in the nation (as by NewsWeek) and even recognized district wide for his outstanding achievements. Additionally, Richard is a huge supporter of WordPress, the open source blogging engine, an "Apple Fanboy," and a huge videographer; spending most of his time inside of Final Cut Express. In his free time, Richard loves playing, as well as watching football (Hook 'em Horns!); reading; playing the violin; and tweaking HTML and CSS late into the night! If you would like to contact Richard, please shoot him an e-mail at richard@richard-escobedo.com.
Casual
Hi, I'm Richard. I love to blog, take pictures, play the violin, and play football.
I practically live on the internet, and love the idea of entrepreneurship. I am yet to consider myself a true entrepreneur (even though it's plastered all over my website), but I feel I am well on my way. I have a "start-up" which I have helped co-found and is well on it's way to success, but I can't talk too much more about it just yet.
Seeing as how I love to blog, I try to do it for as many people as possible. I blog for MacFocus Magazine, and am an avid fan of the open-source blogging engine, WordPress. I also have a video blog which I publish daily and you can also subscribe to in iTunes.
At age three, I first encountered the Mac. For several years I lived inside of an ugly white box called a PC, but recently switched back to the Mac. My current setup is a 15.4" MacBook Pro, with .Mac (err, MobileMe), a mighty mouse, and a few external hard drives.
I was accepted to Communications Arts High School (a.k.a. Comm. Arts), the 26th best high school in the United States as by Newsweek. Communications Arts is a media oriented magnet school in San Antonio, Texas and has for the past two years been ranked as one of the 100 best schools in the nation by Newsweek.
I've designed this site with you in mind. If you run into a broken link, or something that just doesn't seem to work right, let me know by shooting an me an e-mail at richard@richard-escobedo.com.
